5 Reasons To Travel With Strangers

Traveling is brutality. You are compelled to put your trust in strangers and to forget about the comforts of home and friends.
You are constantly off balance. Nothing is yours except the essential things: air, sleep, dreams, sea, the sky – all things tending towards the eternal or what we imagine of it… and, I love it. It takes a lot of courage but if we overthink it, we never get to experience wonderful things.

Here are 5 reasons to travel with strangers

Learn to let go

Being a stranger is one of the toughest things that can happen to anyone. You can feel left out and lonely. Traveling with strangers forces you to let go of that and alters your personality. For photographers, being behind a lens can disguise the fact that they have nothing to say to strangers, don’t let it be your lifesaver. It helps you grow and let go of that feeling and eventually…friendship builds.

Trusting comes easily

Something is so comforting about a stranger, it’s as if they exist forever the same. You can open your heart out to them, that’s the thing about flying with strangers, you could talk to someone for hours and never even know their name, share your deepest secrets and then never see them again. Maybe, you also even start taking restaurant tips, trying new adventures and activities, and possibly being more open to new experiences.

You can break free anytime

That is worth a million dollars. Excusing yourself to take some time out will come so naturally and easily with no judgments or pressure. You are free to roam in any direction you want at any time you choose to.

Falling in love

Some of the best people you meet were once strangers. Traveling with strangers can open your heart to the way you see yourself. Falling in love with yourself all over again. They can help you see the good and beautiful in you. They can help you grow.

Learn from each other

Make life about more than just you. Smile at strangers; volunteer for a bigger purpose and don’t expect anything in return. Ask questions, learn their name, find out what they love, what their fear is. You can learn so much from strangers when you travel together. Enter their world if it’s interesting enough and I promise you, you will always look for more!
